SIGMA AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS FORD Q1 STATUS

Jaguar and Land Rover supplier Sigma have recently been awarded Ford’s prestigious Q1 status in recognition of their manufacturing quality control and support services over the past five years.

Ford Q1 means that Sigma are now officially recognised as a preferred supplier, a first in their market sector.

Sigma provides a Managed Containment Service and has been selected for several out–sourced projects, such as Parts Quality and Batch & Hold.

Brendan Hand, Sigma’s CEO said: “We feel very privileged for the opportunities that have allowed us to develop our working relationship with Jaguar and Land Rover and are immensely proud of this achievement. The highest honour you can receive from your customers is the recognition that you have exceeded their expectations.”

To obtain Q1 status suppliers must meet stringent criteria, including proper implementation of Quality Operating and Management Systems and International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) certification.

Paul Simmerson, Sigma’s Operations & Engineering Manager added: “I would like to personally thank all the members of the Sigma team who have worked extremely hard and contributed to our company achieving this award.
The Q1 award recognises Sigma’s preferred supplier status and can only strengthen our relationship with PAG and the Ford group.”
